It’s the 3rd most spoken native language
German is the most widely spoken mother tongue in Europe. Nearly 100 million Europeans learn it as their first language. Among these 100 million are around 70,000 Belgians, which we often tend to forget. In our own Eastern Cantons, German is also spoken.
