French is the national language of France. French culture asserts itself in literature, architecture, music, film, theater and visual arts.
But French cuisine is also loved worldwide. In addition, the country is best known for its beautiful capital, the Tour de France, sunny Côte d’Azur and many beautiful wine region
and! Rouen is the cozy capital of Normandy, located on the Seine. It is a typical French town with beautiful historical sights, such as the Cathedral Notre-Dame and la Place du Vieux Marché. On this famous square, Joan of Arc was put to death at the stake in 1431. La Tour Grêle (the spindly tower) is the highest bell tower in France (151 meters). Paris is only an hour away. Shopping enthusiasts can also indulge in this city and the same goes for the foodies among us. Our partner language school in Rouen, French in Normandy, has twelve classrooms and a student room. Nearby you will find ‘Jardin des Plantes’
(botanical garden) as well as stores, restaurants and bars. There is free wifi at school and there are 30 computers with internet that you can use for free.
Social program
The language school organizes various excursions and activities to get to know Rouen and its surroundings better. The activities include visits to museums, restaurants, theater and movie nights, sports activities and places of interest. On Saturdays, day excursions are organized to such places as Paris, Monet’s garden in Giverney and the landing beaches of Normandy. After your French lessons in the morning, you can visit museums, taste local dishes during dinners in restaurants, enjoy theater performances and much more! On weekends, excursions are organized to Paris, Monet’s garden in Giverny and Versailles, among other places. This gives you the chance to explore France and practice your French with locals!
